Rusting Problem
The Rio 3 cup looked like a nice looking small capacity French press and it works well. It has a nice heavy and solid feel to it. The big problem is that it will start to rust. Rust streaks have appeared between the glass vessel and the metal frame around it. Worse, lots of rust has built up inside the virtually uncleanable lip of the lid. I was cleaning and drying it out normally and using it only for tea. Obviously this is chromed steel and not stainless which I find hard to believe for an item intended for food preparation.

Great tea/coffee maker
This product was even prettier than pictured in the photos. I was very pleased when I received this item, which was a replacement for two other different types of french presses that I broke in the past. Because I have a tendency to break french presses I wanted one that was a little more durable and this one has so far passed the test, even after I dropped it from my desk. (I'm a little clumsy). Despite leaving the grinds in the press for two weeks (I went on vacation) the press did not rust at all and was good as new when I put in in the dishwasher when I returned from vacation. The press is really lovely looking and it was well worth the money and much better than the two other ones I owned previously. Now I can be both stylish and have a strong press! The bonus is the bottom of the press is a stainless steel and rubber coaster that you can use for your other beverages as well.

I actually got this almost a year ago and it is still lmaking fabulous coffee everyday. I will re-order this item if necessary.
