Excellent Product
When searching for a solution on where to put a microwave in a small kitchen, I came up with this real space saver gem of a product. At first I was skeptical of the size and whether it would fit as advertised, buy I decided it was worth a shot. I was unwilling to drill holes into new tiles and cabinets in order to mount an over the stove microwave, so I needed something that could freestand over my stove.
This microwave shelf is made of quality, very strong materials that were relatively easy to put together, (some parts require some muscle). The dimensions were perfect for a 20" stove top, and fits like a glove and does nothing harmful to the finish of the stove. It rests securely on top and requires no other fastening.
It is also tall enough as to not get too hot, even when all 4 burners are on, so it protects the microwave.

Excellent Product, Well Recommended!
I purchased one of these a few years ago. I had just moved into a new home and had purchased a new microwave which was to be mounted over the stove. Well....I was unable to mount the microwave because there are no studs behind the area allocated for the stove. There is a pocket door which rolls in behind the stove so only drywall is available. Who knew? I found this product which works beautifully! My microwave isn't attatched to the wall but is where it should be which helps to free up precious counter space. The shelf is made of heavy duty metal. I didn't like the black shelf as my kitchen is white so I painted it with white appliance paint and it looks great! Putting the shelf together was a bit of a trick as the metal piece which fits beneath the shelf is heavy steel and must be bent to fit as screws are inserted. I ended up using different screws than the ones provided because they were slightly shorter and were easier to insert. Despite that difficulty I really do...
Great Solution!
This product worked out well to keep my microwave over the stove (a tiny 22 inch apartment stove) and save what little counter space was there. I love the fact that you do not have to anchor it to the wall. Well worth the money.
